BIOGRAPHY

Born in Civitavecchia, Rome, in 1969, he studied with Carlo Bergonzi and completed his education at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena.
Since his professional debut as the Duke in Rigoletto at Teatro Municipal in Santiago de Chile, he has been guest at the most renowned opera houses on international scale, Teatro alla Scala, Metropolitan Opera of New York, Paris Opéra Bastille, Royal Opera House of London, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Liceu in Barcelona, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Wiener Staatsoper, Zurich Opernhaus, Berlin Deutsche Oper, Bayerische Staatsoper, San Francisco Opera, Los Angeles Opera, the Japan Opera Foundation of Tokyo.
He has successfully collaborated with several orchestra conductors, among others, Semyon Bychkov, James Conlon, Daniele Gatti, James Levine, Christian Thielemann, Roberto Abbado, Renato Palumbo.
He has, to remember a few commitments, performed in: ToscaRigolettoMacbeth and Madama Butterfly at Metropolitan Opera House in New York, Tosca at Teatro Regio di Torino, Fanciulla del West at La Scala in Milan, Tosca in Berlin, Norma in Venice and Madrid.
2017 engagements: Messa da Requiem by Verdi with Berlin Philharmoniker under the baton of Riccardo Chailly, Stiffelio in Bilbao, Carmen in Venice and Rome, Don Carlo in Florence, La forza del destino in Amsterdam, Manon Lescaut and La fanciulla del west in Naples and the return at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York with Carmenand Madama Butterfly. In 2018 we mention Carmen in Florence, again Madama Butterfly at the Met, Don Carlos in Bologna, Cavalleria rusticana in San Francisco, Turandotin Madrid.
